We have recently seen a growing trend for adding a spa and fitness health suite to a private home. This increase in demand is seen particularly within prestigious homes and luxury apartments in and around London. Some of our partners have been well known building contractors, who have seen an increasing desire to be able to offer their clients a beautiful home in an urban surrounding, with a basement or ground floor that has been specially designed to create a tranquil wellness space for relaxation and fitness.
We have worked with Berkeley homes on Woodberry Down providing a large Fitness suite equipped with Technogym Equipment, a yoga and Pilates studio a stunning 20 m Indoor Swimming pool, a feature Vitality pool and Thermal heat experience rooms.
Dollar Bay is another exciting joint venture between Dollar Bay between Citystyle Homes and Mount Anvil; Based in the heart of London Docklands, the new 31 storey glazed tower offers panoramic view across London. The building was designed by Ian Simpson architects, and this luxury development offers 115 stunning homes. Spa Creators were brought into to provide spa expertise for the resident’s fully equipped state of the art gym and calming relaxation lounge. We have also worked with the award winning contractors, Mount Anvil. There have been two high prestigious projects: The Lexicon Tower also known as 261 City Road and Eagle House in London. Eagle House was a 27 storey project comprising 276 luxury apartment homes with a luxury wellness facility in the basement.
Where space allows we have a number of clients in London and the Home Counties, that have been able to enjoy the complete spa experience in the basement or a bespoke built building in their home or garden. A swimming pool may be integral to the design, but many of Spa Creators clients are also now seeking a hydrotherapy or vitality pool, thermal heat experiences and even their own fully fitted treatment rooms, yoga suite and a personalised gym.
This stunning black tiled pool has created a breath taking feature in a private spa which also includes a private gym and yoga studio.
A luxury private spa and health suite may also be a profitable addition to the value of your property. The process for the spa design is very similar to a commercial project but of course the interiors and fittings are made for a clients own personal taste. Alistair Johnson says ‘ a private luxury spa is always an honour and a pleasure to be involved in. It is a true reflection of the client’s very own personal space and how they want to exercise or relax.
Working on a private spa often enables us to push boundaries and ask even more of our suppliers to deliver an exceptional result. These newfound ideas can often then be incorporated into a commercial spa project so it’s a win win for us!’ The private home spa is not only a calming place to escape the rigours of our busy lives, but also to entertain family and friends.
